Rachel Horne is a visual artist, writer and activist who co-founded Doncopolitan, a print magazine in a studio in Doncaster. Born during the miners’ strike, her work is dedicated to telling the story of her community through art and writing, she is an advocate for grassroots social change. In 2020 she co-produced Made In Doncaster with Guardian film maker John Domokos. The film highlighted the way national news often leaves communities feeling disempowered and misrepresented.
She is a dedicated arts practitioner working in palliative care for nine years and now in the community. She is currently studying an MA in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths.
